It`s important to find the right shade in your foundation to ensure that you`re comfortable wearing it and that you always look your best.
Before loooking at the different shades available, it`s best to take good look at your skin in natural daylight and note down the colouring to you skin and any undertones that show. It`s also good to look at the veins on the inside of your wrists as the colour of these may help determine your skin tone too.
Your undertone are:
Neutral - Balanced, no obvious pink, peach or yellow to the skin and veins are greeny-blue.
Cool - Pinky tones to the skin and veins are more likely to be blue.
Warm - Peachy tones to the skin and veins are more likely to be green.
Olive - Yellow tones to the skin and veins are more likely to be green.
If a shade looks too ashy then it’s too pale for you, if it looks orange then it’s too dark.
Don’t forget – many people need a summer and winter foundation shade, you can also mix shades to custom create your perfect match this way all year round.
